Introduction to our new blog
Welcome to the first post on our new blog from The Underwater Centre. Our student advisors and our diving and ROV supervisors and instructors get lots of questions from around the world on different aspects of the subsea industry, so we’ve started our blog to answer those questions. We’ll also provide you with the information you want about commercial diving, ROVs and the subsea industry, in general.
We’ll be blogging posts from the staff at the Centre, such as Alf Leadbitter, Diver Training Manager, Steve Grindrod, NDT Manager, and Paul Bury, Head of ROV Operations, all of whom have many years of experience in the subsea industry and are happy to pass that knowledge on.
We’ll also be having guest blog posts from industry experts, such as Dr James, one of the world’s leading diving medical practitioners, who teaches on our Diver Medic Course. We’ll be including posts from past students, who’ll be telling us about how they progressed in their subsea careers, and giving advice to those who are just starting out in their careers.
There will be also be comment on industry developments and news on events in the subsea industry.
What else that you would like to see featured on the blog? If there are any topics you would like covered, then leave a comment to let us know.
